The GRID SAMPLING process involves the use of the Global Positioning System (GPS) to accurately determine the location of each soil sample taken in the field. Normally we divide the field into 2.5 acre increments and then sample within those areas. Samples are taken to our soils lab for analysis and the results are then run through our custom designed software to determine the appropriate formulations of additives to maximize the production capacity of the field. The costs of taking many samples across the field is easily offset by the money saved in the precision application of the materials, which is accomplished using the precise locations of each sample.
